Stomping My Feet

I thought I was going to have another great day.  Both kids slept through the night and didn't wake up until 6:45 a.m.  Things were looking up.

Until...

My big dog decided to attack my little dog.  My big dog has had a very tough medical life.  She's relatively young, but has a couple of medical conditions (that cost me and my husband a small fortune every single month).  Some of the things she's experienced in her life have affected how she behaves.  She really is a good dog, but sometimes she loses her mind.  She thinks she is in a dominance battle with my little dog.  Because of the nature of these attacks, I try to keep the dogs separate most of the day.  Well, after today's incident, they will be kept separate at ALL times.  My morning was quickly going downhill starting with this attack.

Then after dealing with the dogs, I realized Sean had dialed on my cell phone and woke up someone from my volunteer job.  (Yes, I usually lock my keys, but I forgot when I was trying to save my little dog.)  I apologized and quickly got off the phone.

When Sean was up from his nap we headed out to the grocery store.  As I was pulling out of my driveway, I realized I forgot to put the trash can out, and it was most likely too late.

We arrive at the grocery store and painlessly completed our shopping task.  Or at least I thought we completed it until we were pulling off the highway returning home.  Tomorrow night I have to deliver a meal to someone in the FRG.  I was planning to make a lasagna.  Well, it might have been important to buy ricotta cheese!!!! Dang it!  At that moment I wanted to have my own little temper tantrum and go around stomping my feet.  I know it won't help anything, but sometimes I think that would make me feel better.

So now, after the afternoon naps maybe we'll run back to the grocery store again

Is it bad that I cannot wait for Wednesday when I have nothing planned and no obligations?

Oh Shelly, I am so sorry! How is the little guy? I would be stomping my feet, screaming and throwing in a few choice words at that point too!
