Hey Everyone...how I've missed you all!
I'm posting a quick update because my power cord has decided to temporarily work. It's been almost a week without a laptop, and I clearly am very dependent on technology because this week has been killing me. Thank goodness for my ipad, but it just isn't the same as my laptop. My new macbook should be here Wed/Thursday. (Darn weather seems to be delaying FedEx in my area--apparently they didn't get my memo that I NEED a laptop!)
So let's see, what have we been up to? There has been lots of rain leading to lots of indoor time for me and the boys. In fact we are going a bit stir crazy. Thankfully, Ryan will get to see the kids at school tomorrow morning. Sean has been sleeping really well lately too, which is great for me.
Guess what I'm doing tomorrow? Mailing the LAST package to my hubby! That's right the Stop Mail Date has finally arrived. But before you get too excited, it's still quite far away from homecoming.
There is so much I want to write, but I've got lots of work and file saving to do on this thing before the power cord quits again. I'll be back to commenting on all your blogs soon, I promise. Thanks for understanding!

I'm Still Here
Hi everyone! I am still here, but trapped without a laptop. I believe this is a mild, modern day form of torture.
The cord on my laptop will no longer charge it at all. My battery is dead, and there is nothing I can do. (This is on top of my failing hard drive.)
I call this the dark age. I am falling behind on reading all your blogs.
Right now I am blogging from my iPad, which means doing the one finger peck typing--not ideal for blog posts. Not to mention that my blog feeder on my dashboard doesn't load right and neither does my google reader. Am I supposed to do something to use blogger on an iPad? Any ideas people?
Do not worry though. A new Macbook was purchased today. Did you know they introduced a NEW MacBook Pro this morning? I call that perfect timing.
Here is to hoping it arrives soon! Thanks for sticking with me. I will definitely have a lot to say when I have access to a laptop again.

Menu Board Craft
Sometimes I like to browse the internet looking for new crafts. Since my crafting skills are limited, there aren't too many crafts I feel confident that I can replicate. I saw a few different versions of menu boards online and really wanted to make one. I even found a suggestion in my Real Simple Magazine.
You'll need a picture frame with the glass. I chose a 12x12 so that there would be no cutting involved, and I needed enough room for the days of the week to all fit.
Select a piece of scrapbooking paper. Remember if you get the 12X12 frame there is no cutting ;)
I cut the words/letters from cardstock with my Cricut and added a few embellishments. You have so many choices on how to make yours unique and to coordinate to your kitchen.
Then you place it in the frame and use dry erase markers to make your menu for the week. A tissue wipes the marker off the glass, and you can use it to plan out every week.
